Why China?
This seems to be the consensus of the Past-Presidents. Many of the Past-Presidents are already actively involved in projects focusing on China. Over the next 10 years, China will overtake Japan and Germany to become the second largest economy after the United States. For many of us, China is also the land of our ancestors.

This can be an immediate focus especially for those who have a passion for impacting lives in missions. However, to tie the entire alumni to a country, right from the start may be limiting? What happens if God would to speak to us on missions concerning unreached people groups within the 7-hour radii off Singapore, eg Myammar, North Korea etc. Just some thots off my head.

Same here. I think we should look at external being missions and China being one of the projects we are targetting or have at present that we can work on. Going forward will be any worthwhile mission works brought to the tables by fellow alumnus.
